Il vous faudra un peu plus d'une heure pour boucler le circuit. Du haut de la digue de terre qui traverse le lac sur 362 mètres, vous dominerez à l'est le plan d'eau et à l'ouest le village.

The Lac de Charmes dam is a dam which forms a 197 hectare reservoir, located near the town of Langres in the Haute-Marne department. It is one of the four lakes which supply water to the Marne-Saône canal.

BAIGNADE AU LAC DE CHARMES
Lac de Charmes is nothing exciting. It's a reservoir in Haute=Marne, near Langres. There's a car park near the dam, and a little Guinguette selling food and drink, with the most enormous barbecue I've ever seen. Mid-afternoon, so I had the cheeseboard, which was fabulous. They also rent canoes and pedalos, one with a slide for the kids.

From Langres, take the rue du Petit Cloître then the Côte des 3 Rois. At the crossroads, at the bottom of the descent, continue straight on the municipal road to reach the canal. Turn right and take the towpath to the Marne bridge. Then fork to the left and take the D284 to Lac de la Liez. From there, continue towards Peigney and, just before the village, fork to the right to take the D52.
